WHITE BULL MUSIC LESSONS
Teaching Music as a form of Therapy
Who am I?
My name is Vlad (or you can call me White Bull…or V) and I have over 8 years of experience in teaching guitar, bass and ukulele.
What do I do?
I’ve had over 100 students over the years with ages ranging from 8 years old up to 65 years old. Yes, you read that correctly. Your desire to learn is my motivation to teach, no matter the age, location or time zone.
Too busy?
Even if you are a busy adult but you want to learn how to play guitar, I can help you figure out a way to do it. There are many ways in which I can help you learn guitar easily and stress-free.
You will not feel like you’re speaking to a teacher but rather talking to a friend. I don’t want you to feel guilty for not practicing. Guilt and shame won’t make you better at guitar.
No theory? No problem!
…well, sort of. I believe that the most important thing for someone taking his first steps in learning how to play guitar is to focus on the practical aspect more than the theoretical part first. That’s why I take a different approach to learning theory when it comes to guitar. During our sessions I weave in the theory in between, when I feel it’s time or is necessary.
Some people meditate. I play blues.
There was a point in my life when I realized that playing guitar is the same, if not way better than meditating. It felt better than therapy and I could not explain how or why until I delved deeper.
After a long day I just picked up the guitar, put on a backing track and started playing for what I thought were 10 minutes. It turned out to be 30. The backing track was over but I just kept going. Playing guitar can be meditative and relaxing if you know how to do it right and I can show you how.
